The course drew on research in social and cognitive psychology to examine evidence law (e.g., eyewitness testimony, polygraph, expert testimony), procedure (e.g., line-ups, trial conduct, jury selection), and various topics in criminal law, tort law, anti-discrimination law, family law, and other areas.
